• What’s a TechSprint?

Also known as ‘Hackathons’, TechSprints bring people together from various backgrounds and disciplines to transform ideas into reality with innovative technology. Teams immerse themselves in developing solutions and building prototypes for the challenges and opportunities at hand.

  • If we’re not meeting in person, how will it work?

We’ll use a number of online tools (Slack, Zoom, etc) to conduct the TechSprint so that we can bring people together from around the world!

  • What if I’ve never participated in a TechSprint before?

Welcome! Participants of all skill levels will be involved. We’ll have mentors and staff to help you with your project. TechSprints can be a great place to learn new skills in a short amount of time!

  • Who can participate?

We welcome everyone and anyone to participate – entrepreneurs, students, business professionals, residents, community leaders, collaborators, marketers, technologists, creatives, designers, developers, innovators, or anyone with a keen interest in designing for the future. You have a place!

  • Do I need to know how to code?

Nope! If you’re a visionary, marketer, designer, salesperson, or student, your skills will be very valuable for your team.

  • What are we expected to deliver on Demo Day?

We expect each team to share a technology-based prototype with basic functionality at a minimum, and a presentation on how your solution addresses the challenge.

  • How many people are on a team?

    2-5 people per team.

  • Can you register as an individual?

No, only teams of 2-5 people can register. Reach out to your colleagues and peers to get them involved!

  • Do I own what I build?

Child Rescue Coalition will retain all title, rights of ownership, or intellectual property rights of whatever nature in the solutions and any related information that the Participant submits or develops in response to the prompts provided at the Hackathon, free of charge.
